| My interest
in Holistic approaches began in the 1970’s through
my studies of Oriental Martial Arts and their effect
on Mind, Body and Spirit. This led to an understanding
that the inherent good health we have can be maintained
through exercise, nutrition and lifestyle. Prevention
being better than cure.
Looking for natural ways of gently promoting self healing,
I was drawn to Japanese Reiki, Meditation, Herbal Medicine
with its link to nutrition; and Tai Chi Chuan to retain
the healthy balance once it is regained.
With a lifelong affinity to nature I met with British
Waterways in the late 1970’s and together we developed
a pilot environmental project for canals that led to
the idea being adopted nationally. Recruitment and management
brought me into touch with psychometric testing, developing
my interest in functional psychology, counselling, stress
related illness and more.
Then teaching self-defence for the Clwyd County Council
Youth Service as well as various other groups throughout
Cheshire and North Wales, I was able to study the effects
that this had upon self-confidence finally leading me
to discover the value of Clinical Hypnotherapy and its
synergy with many of the martial arts teachings.
A Holistic Practitioner, a Reiki Okuden and with a
distinction in Clinical Hypnotherapy, I am a Member
of the Clinical and Therapeutic Hypnosis Association,
British Holistic Medical Association and British Judo
Council.
Throughout 2007 I featured on Sky TV’s “Wellbeing“
programme demonstrating Chi Kung and Tai Chi health
exercises.
